Bait Bags, Catch Bags

"We put both the bags to work this season, the black coarser mesh bags (1/16" hole), and the fine (tight weave) ...they both worked. I like the coarse mesh for the opener, in that we are changing out the bait every 1-2 days, so loss to sand fleas isn't so much of an issue...The finer mesh bags prevent entry by most sand fleas, so the bait lasts longer, so we use those later in the season when the traps are soaking longer. some of my cohorts were skeptical, in that the bags were not the traditional bait containers...despite the skepticism, the bags proved to produce at least as well as the traditional bait containers, if not better when fished side by side...I don't know how much of my very satisfactory productivity was in the bait bag, but you can't argue with success. The bags clearly worked... Thus have the distinct advantage over the jars with respect to portability, the transport space for several hundred bags was the same as 50 jars..."

    Lobster Catch Bags

    Commercial grade diver catch bags for commercial or sport lobstering
    Lobster Catch Bag

    This bag fixes the problems that most sport catch bags have:

    • First: most bags are (at least partially) made of a normal open hole mesh. Typically the lobster spines get caught in the mesh, or worse, spines from lobster or fish can poke the diver's legs. The tight weave mesh on this bag prevents spines and other pokey things from getting caught in the mesh (and from poking the diver), and yet still drains well.
    • Second: bags that have "chutes" (ideal for single hand operation to insert catch) seldom have an opening large enough to insert a lobster greater than 7lbs. Armor's bag has a round opening or chute in the side where you can quickly insert lobster or fish with one hand. The hole is 10" in dia and will easily fit a 12lb lobster and 10lb fish.
    • Third: Armor offers a bag large enough for the serious sport or commercial diver that put a lot of catch in the bag. We make a Pro commercial size (40" long) and a Sport size (26-30" long).
    • Fourth: This bag has secure openings top and bottom. This bag has a zipper opening (#10 size YKK Non-corrosive zippers) on the top for inserting larger fish, and a zipper on the bottom for dumping the catch.
    • Fifth: all components used are the best, marine grade quality, and the bright yellow mesh bag is easier to locate in low visibility conditions.
